Aub LeBard was co-owner of the LeBard & Underwood motorcycle shop in Los Angeles, as well as a top off-road racer in the 1940s and 1950s. Identified over the years as a BSA rider, LeBard won the Big Bear National Enduro three years (1949, 1950, 1951) and was a top desert racer of his era.
LeBard also supported the sport as a sponsor of major racers over the years, including Dave Aldana and John McLaughlin, and an early mentor to Chuck “Feets” Minert.
Aub LeBard was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998. He died in December 2012 at the age of 91.
